Pick how you play

When you join, you choose how to invest. With Play money you get play dollars to practise with — no bank or brokerage needed, and nothing real is bought. Real investing, where every good choice buys real index funds in your own brokerage account, is coming soon. You can change mode in Profile; switching resets your balance to $0 but keeps your history, streaks and badges.

Good choices trigger investments

Log a good food or drink choice — what you skipped and what you had instead — and HabitBots invests $1 from your wallet into US (VTI) and world (VXUS) index funds, split the way you choose. No orders to place: the investment happens because you chose well.

Daily challenges

The Challenge tab has six daily goals: drink 3 litres of water, eat 5 servings of fruit and veg, no alcohol, no sugar, 45 min of movement, and 6+ hours of sleep (tapped the next morning for last night). Hitting a goal invests once for that day, then the day locks. Each challenge keeps its own streak.

Streaks multiply

Keep making good choices day after day and each one invests more of your own wallet: $1.25 at a 3-day streak, $1.50 at 7 days and $2 at 14 days. There's no penalty for a bad day — your streak just starts again.

Friends and badges

Add friends with an invite code, compare streaks on each challenge, react to each other's wins and start 7-day challenges where every daily goal counts and the most completed wins. Boards rank habits, not dollars, so play money and real investors compete fairly. Along the way you earn HabitBot badges for calories saved, streaks, investing and social wins.

Your wallet is capped, your investments aren't

Your wallet never holds more than $100 at a time, but your total investments can grow to any amount. When your $100 is invested, you decide what happens next: replenish your wallet with another $100 of play money and keep practising, or switch to real investing and put $100 into an investing service of your choice. That choice is always yours — play money and real investing will both be here to stay. Over five years we hope users build several thousand dollars from good choices alone — small investments in yourself, made over and over.

Delete any entry from Latest wins and the money goes back to your wallet, and that day comes off your streak.
